Runes

I'm reviewing all the runes for the psychic fair on Sat. I'm also crocheting a casting cloth to fit the small tables they have so the runes won't go flying off the table onto the floor. I'm trying to learn the proper pronounciation of each rune. I should get in the habit of reading runes weekly so I won't keep forgetting the meanings.
For some reason I find them harder to remember than Tarot cards.

Let's see if this works.

You Are a Glam Rocker!

You put the "show" in rock show with your larger than life self.
No doubt, you are all about making good music...
But what really gets you going is having an over the top show.
Glitter, costumes, and wild hair are your thing - with some rock thrown in!

Escalators

Last night I had a very long dream that included malls with escalators. This is a recurring them for me. In this dream the escalators are very steep. Throughout the dream they get more and more dangerous. Finally, I ended up taking the stairs next to the elevator.
In part of the dream, I was standing in the mall advertising a job fair upstairs. I was shouting 'You too could get a higher paying and better job."

Feng Shui and hellish consequences

After reading the book Move Your Stuff, Change Your Life I resolved to get all the clutter out of my living room and dining room, which includes about 50 boxes from my last move. It took me four days straight with the help of my boyfriend to get as many things sorted out and moved as possible. We got the living room basically together, but the dining room still has hours to go. But with that much cleaning, surely the feng shui would be affected.
Well, for a week things did indeed get better. I started earning money again, I got a new budget in place, I started a new exercise program. I was happy. For a week.

But as some of you know that both with massage, and fasting, things that have long been dormant can suddenly get stirred up and make you ill. Old emotions can be released. It's a lot like a toilet overflowing. Eventually, it will be better, but it can get way worse first.

Well, way worst for me is my teeth started to hurt. Within a week, I couldn't sleep anymore. I had to go to the dentist like NOW. So I have to have a root canal and an extraction and there goes the budget! It gets worse. The dentist takes my blood pressure, which is sky high. So they won't do the work until I see the Dr. I haven't seen a Dr. in years because I don't have health insurance. So that's another $100 for the Dr. (So now I've spent $300, and still have the tooth problems). So the Dr. wants me on high blood pressure meds for life. (OK I did not need that straw on my camel's back).
Then, while I had the DR. and was springing for the big appt., I say, "By the way, what do you think of this wart thing on my forehead". And she says "Oooh, you have to have that off right away...looks like non-matastizing skin cancer". ($600.)
So yes, Feng Shui may be great, and I do need to deal with those health problems. And eventually it will be better. But had I seen this coming, I would have left those boxes right where they sat.

A strange premonition.

A few days ago I was sitting on the couch and I glanced through my window slats and I thought "Wouldn't it be bizarre to see a tiger strolling across my front yard?"
The next day the news reported someone spotting a big catlike animal disappearing into the brush leaving huge pawprints in the mud near the Reagan library in CA.
A few more days went by. I flip on the news and they found the big cat. And they shot it. And it was a tiger between 400 and 600 lbs. spotted by a resident as it roamed through his yard.

I am sad they weren't able to save it.

Goodbye to 2004

This will be my last post of the year. Tomorrow is a new day and a new year. Today I added new posts and photos to my Hypno Kitty blog and my cat blog Tres Gatos. It is raining like cats and dogs outside today. I'm happy to be cozy in the warm interior of my apt. I don't drink and I have no plans to celebrate the new year which is a little sad. I usually have some gigs as a psychic reader so I don't make plans on purpose, but then when no one hires me, I'm at a bit of a loss as to what to do at midnight.
If you are partying tonight, then be safe and don't drive. Sleep over...call a cab...etc.
Happy New Year!

Lessons

Someone said that nothing is free, and you get what you pay for, but I can think of many things that are free...each new day, the air we breathe, the opportunity to seek forgiveness, the new cells our bodies make each moment, the blood in our bloodstream, the milk of human kindness, the herbs that grow with no help from us, the beauty that is found everywhere we look, the new chance to learn from old lessons.

I'm getting back into juggling

Practice make nerfect.

If I spent half as much time dancing as I do on the internet, I'd be a size 4 about now. I've been working on my website, and now I know where the term middle aged spread came from...from spending too much time at a desk playing chair jockey. So as soon as I finish this post, I'm going outside to dance or juggle or something. It's a bit nippy out there but I warm up fast.

I got to play piano for a little while yesterday. I want to follow that up today with some more practice. Note reading is difficult when I'm rusty. I'm okay with notes on the staff, but when they get way above or way below, I start guessing and it sounds like it as I hit the wrong keys.
Ah well, if it were easy, we'd all be Mozart.
